3.5.1 Urban VFR Routes (UVRs)
3.5.1.1.1. UVRs are established routes for VFR flights to navigate mostly on visual references to the ground, instead of utilization of instruments.
3.5.1.1.2. These routes are intended for navigation in and around controlled airspace and urban areas.
-
Safety: UVRs are designed to maintain separation between VFR and IFR traffic by offering designated flight route.
-
Efficiency: These routes improve navigation efficiency for VFR pilots, reducing both pilot and ATC workload while minimizing delays.
-
Accessibility: By establishing clear and defined routes, UVR simplify navigation through or around controlled airspace, improving overall access to different airspace areas.
3.5.1.1.3. UVRs will be gradually implemented to form an integrated VFR routes network across the FIR.
3.5.1.1.4. Details of UVRs encompassing a designated aerodrome will be published in the relevant aerodrome, under AD 2. 22.
3.5.1.1.5. Details of UVRs which do not encompass any designated aerodrome will be published under this section
